Mike and Rosamund bid us farewell

A few weeks ago we said goodbye to Mike and Rosamund's before their move south. They led our prayer service at the end of which they were presented with gifts from us all and our prayers for a happy move to the north Cotswolds. We shall, of course, miss them very much, but our sadness was partially allayed by the provision of lots of yummy cake to cheer us all up!

Harvest Supper

Almost fifty people gathered to enjoy a splendid three-course meal (with, in some cases, seconds) at Kirk Deighton Village Hall. Following the meal, we were entertained in a variety of ways and finished the evening with a feast of nostalgia orchestrated by Roger. It was a good night.

Mile of Cans 2014 reaches 620 ft!

Our fourth Mile of Cans event was held on Saturday October 18. For the first time it was based in Margins, with the cans running up and down Church Street - a colourful sight, as you can see. Another splendid effort, from which the less fortunate members of our community will benefit.

On Wednesday July 2nd we celebrated the official opening of Margins Bookshop. We welcomed visitors from the other churches, town councillors, and other friends to join with us. The Mayor, Cllr Harry Chapman, kindly cut the yellow ribbon to signify our official arrival as Wetherby's only bookshop.
